Ctrl-C is broken in terminals

Hi folks, recently, we’ve broken ctrl-c in terminal windows. There already is an issue: https://github.com/eclipse-theia/theia/issues/5749
Does this ring a bell with someone having recently commited somehting relevant?

I was able to verify that it still worked in commit 3f28503e754bbb4fa6534612af3d1ed6da3ed66a, but is broken in 362e8f13e97a850387c103e8e7ee29d6e36b873e

I’m doing a bisection on the commits to find the offending one.
