Debugging in Chrome

Is there way to run into breakpoints in VSCode when using Chrome?

According the launch.json from the Theia git repo it should work like this:

            "name": "Launch Frontend (Chrome)",
            "type": "chrome",
            "request": "launch",
            "url": "http://localhost:3000/",
            "webRoot": "${workspaceRoot}"

But the breakpoint set in a frontend-contribution.ts is not hit. I assume that Chrome doesn’t find the sources and therefore doesn’t know when to stop.
The folder tree looks like:
— package.json
— webpack.config.js
— lib/
— src-gen/
— node_modules/

I tried:
“webRoot”: “${workspaceRoot}/browser-app/lib”
“webRoot”: “${workspaceRoot}/browser-app/src-gen”

But nothing worked. Maybe you know what to do!

Thanks in advance.

Can you debug in dev tools? Just checking that you have proper source maps
