Anyone knows how a fork of our theia-ide/theia-apps made it under the eclipse-theia org? This repo has not gone through the Foundation IP process nor is the license suitable for the Foundation (Apache 2).

I sent an email to Wayne to try to find-out if this fork was intended and if not to remove it.

I don’t know, but GitHub allows me to create a fork of a new repo under organizations to which I belong.

Ah, including eclipse-theia? That might be an oversight in the configuration if so - normally we should have to ask the Foundation to create a new repo I think. I had assumed they must have created the fork, but if any member has permission, it could just have been forked there by accident.

Confirmed: when I fork on GH, the eclipse-theia org is one of the choices I am offered

Update: webmaster removed the eclipse-theia/theia-apps repo - it was most likely cloned there by accident. They have also adjusted the permission of theorg so that this can’t happen again.
